Jamie Ratchford & Andy Verboom will wed in the afternoon of August 2, 2026, in Avonport, Nova Scotia.
Our venue is the writers’ residency Jampolis Cottage. The location is rural, requiring driving to and from. We will arrange transportation options to the nearby towns of Wolfville and Windsor.
Vibes
Think backyard wedding.
Our outdoor, tented celebration will include a buffet-style dinner, self-serve beverages, lawn games, mingling, & dancing.
Our suggestion for dress is smart casual.
Gifts
We do not expect wedding gifts. Many of you will travel significant distances, and your presence is all we want.
If you insist on quantifying your love for our love, we would appreciate contributions to our “honey-home” fund. We’re working toward purchasing a home where we can honeymoon for the rest of our lives.
Rain date
If significant inclement weather is forecasted for August 2, we will shift the celebration to the evening of August 1. This decision won’t be made lightly but will ensure we have options should Nova Scotian weather do what it does best.
